Boeing Factory Tour
1.3 million cubic meters, 40 hectares, space for 75 football fields, and more than a million bulbs to illuminate the factory make it the largest factory in volume in the world. The Boeing tour lasts four and a half hours including the one and a half hour transportation from downtown Seattle to the Boeing factory and back.
We started the experience at the Museum of the Future of Aviation where the cameras, bags, and other objects not allowed inside the factory will be kept before entering to see a video of the history of Boeing. In that same place, we will meet the rest of the group and the official guide. For 90 minutes, the tour will be inside the factory but our guide will accompany the group inside the factory to make sure they don't miss anything important.
Once in the factory, we will visit a series of balconies where we will observe the assembly process of several airplanes including 787 Dreamliner, 777, 767, 747-8, and if we are lucky the KC-46 T or tanker plane. After the official visit, the group will have time to explore the Museum of the Future of Aviation, the factory runway, the official store, and the cafeteria.
The minimum height requirement is 4 feet (1 m 22 cm) for children participating in the Boeing Tour. To avoid disappointment, be sure to verify your height before booking this tour. Cell phones, bags, and cameras are not allowed inside the factory and will be kept in the public lockers at the main entrance.
